SNO - Saturday Night Out
Saturday Night Out (SNO) began life about 25 years ago. A group of married couples were looking for an inexpensive yet fun way that they could all get together for fellowship on a monthly basis during the regular church year. So they came up with the idea of what has evolved into SNO.
One of the many nice things about SNO is that it is an open group of folks made up of singles and married couples. Some of its members belong to other congregations in the area local to MPC. SNO is also a welcoming group of people. It is common to meet someone new to the group and to learn that they have just become a member of the MPC family last Sunday
Always with thoughts of keeping the costs of entertaining down to a minimum, the SNO group will typically meet in member's homes once a month on a rotating basis. The wonderful snacks, food, salads, and desserts are cover dish so one will always be treated to the specialty of the person bringing the food - and that's a lot of special food!
In order to keep each gathering fresh and fun, SNO has a series of thematic evenings that are designed to not only entertain everyone, but to get folks to mingle. In no time at all, a new member will get to know 15 - 20 people. And it's always pleasant on Sunday mornings for new members to be greeted by those whom they've just met. It helps to show what a warm and welcoming congregation we have here at MPC

- Christmas Charity
- Progressive Dinner
- Sporting Events
- Theme Activities
So look for the SNO fliers around the church, or ask just about anyone and they will tell you how to get the information. But whatever you do, join us for a Saturday night of good Christian fellowship.
