Presbyterian Women
Purpose
Forgiven and Freed by God in Jesus Christ and Empowered by the Holy Spirit, We Commit Ourselves:
- To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study,
- To support the mission of the church worldwide,
- To work for justice and peace, and
- To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA)
- And witness to the promise of God’s Kingdom.
What are Our Goals?
- To involve ALL women in the Worship and Work of the congregation
- To provide an opportunity to serve, either separately or together, and to show concern for all others without thought of reward
- To challenge each woman to contribute of herself no matter how small or great her talents, and to realize the joy of using these God-given talents in His service.
- To endeavor to make the community a better place for all people
- To help overcome loneliness and give each woman the precious gift of giving herself a new friend
- To provide education in the Christian faith
- To provide a place for discussion of current issues and ethics in the light of the Christian faith, and help relate Christian ethics to our daily living
Who are the Members or the Presbyterian Women?
- All the women on the church rolls are considered members of Presbyterian Women.
- We invite and encourage you to become an active member by joining a circle, attending our various programs, or supporting a fund-raising activity.
